What to expect in a typical family portraiture session…The portrait session usually last about an hourish and we pick the location according to the vibe you are going for. I have photographed family portraits at many, many Marin and San Francisco locations and can give you some ideas that have lots of different backgrounds, fall colors, textures and most importantly great light! I like to pose people and families in order to create a work of art but I also like to mix in photojournalism and photograph people just being who they are…especially with young children! My aim is to get a headshot for both mom and dad (for Facebook, LinkedIn, professional marketing, etc.) a few different family shots/poses, portraits of the kids individually, portraits of the kids together, kids with each parent, and last but not least a photograph of you and your spouse – probably hasn’t been taken since your wedding day, right?
